Well Worth The Drive... What A Movie!!!

YOU MUST SEE THIS ONE!!

.
Even if you are not a movie goer, you must make an exception!!
.
This is one of the best movie to come out of any motion picture studio this year.
.
Faith based movies are hard to get in all markets so you may have to drive, but it is worth the drive!!
.
I saw this movie last night, had to drive about 35 miles to another city to see it, but let me tell you, it was worth every mile and every penny I paid to get in!!!
.
This is the best movie since Luther and The PassionOf The Christ (with a whole lot less controversy surrounding it's release). The message of the Gospel is so clear you can't miss it. Acting is tremendous and according to critics the story stays true to the life events.
.
Don't delay, most faith based movies don't stay in the theatres much longer than a week or two!! We need to make sure we reward movie making like this since most of us spend money on much less deserving movies.
.
After you see it, let me know what you think!!!

One Down, Millions+ To Go...

Sometime after 6 this evening a one year anniversary was celebrated. For the past year a party unlike any other has been going on. You and I can not imagine the the wonderful festivities experienced by all who have been at this grand ball.
.
Smiles larger than a human mouth can stretch. Laughter louder than the human lungs can produce. Clapping at rates human hands will never keep rhythm with. Dancing in a way human feet cannot dance.
.
Today marks one year since my dad graduated and left the struggles of this earth. I am thankful for the faith he had in Christ and the hope of seeing him again.
.
That's one down and infinity to go...
.
Hey Pap (Don't worry, that's an endearing term) , I'll see you in the blink of an eye...

Is There A Kid In You?

" I tell you true that unless a man
receives the kingdom of God as a little
child, he shall not even enter it."

Right In Front Of Their Eyes...

I knew what I wanted. I had one of them in my hand so I did not get it wrong. Up one then down another. Surely there is some rhyme or reason in this place. Can someone help me! This is getting frustrating!! Where in all these could they have hidden it!!!
.
I have to say that some days shopping is for the mentally flexible. Just recently I was trying to purchase one simple bottle of Super Omega 3 Oil supplements (they say they're good for your cholesterol, I hope so because they leave a terrible aftertaste). I had the old bottle in my possession. I must have looked like a tourist (minus the camera), waltzing up and down the vitamin isle talking to myself. Just when I was about to throw my hands up in the air and explode in a loud sigh... "Can I help you find something?"
.
The voice seemed knowledgeable so I answered as any lost male SHOULD answer when he is lost... "yes, I'm looking for these". It was the brand name of the store I was shopping in. There he goes, hot on the trail of my missed bottle of life saving nutritional supplement. Like a blood hound in woods full of stuff to smell (you use your imagination, I don't want any trouble), he was off to the search and guess what? HE COULDN'T FIND THEM EITHER!! "I'm not sure we carry them" he quips. Can we say "Blind As A Bat" all together now!!!
.

.
I was almost distraught at this point (almost as distraught as the kid in the picture), this would be the second company that has discontinued these much needed, health enhancing, nutrient building capsules of miracle grow (for the short man in me). I nearly sat down and cried right there.
.
Just as I was about to give up all hope of having a healthy heart, good blood pressure, less lipids in my vein soup and there she came. The Knight-ette in shiny smock, well as shiny as white can be. She asked the young man what he was looking for, he turned to me as if I had not talked to him in the last 15 minutes. I held up the bottle with a small pout on my face. "Right Here!" Hallelujah!! I shouted to the top of my lungs (OK, I lied, I just smiled and sighed in relief). Right in front of us, on the bottom shelf, not in the section that contained Omega Oils, was the glorious bottle. I was at last in hope of a future with little fishy oils swimming in my blood stream. It was interesting, I couldn't find them because they were not where they would logically be. The young man trying to assist me could not find them, even though he was an employee, it made no sense to him either. But the white coated wonder knew exactly where to go and took us there immediately. Why, she had knowledge of the product placement because she worked in that department.
.
Now, let me challenge you in our last few moments together (hopefully you haven't' tuned out yet). There was a place much like this in Jesus' life. You'll find it in John 7... Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, "Truly this is the Prophet." Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "Will the Christ come out of Galilee? "Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?" (John 7:40-42 NKJV) . They saw the miracles and wondered, is he really the person he seems to be? But their expectations of finding the Savior where shot down when they heard someone say "he's from Galilee". "Isn't the messiah supposed to be from Bethlehem" they said. But much to their amazement, HE WAS FROM BETHLEHEM. But since they were, much like you and I, blind as a bat, they missed the deity because the messed up the details.
.
Let me ask you, have missed the savior because of your sight? Are you, like me, often enamoured by the miracles but miss the messiah? Maybe you've been amazed at the power but missed the person.
.
Take a moment today, go back through John Chapter 7, read it through carefully. He gave them plenty of clues... "Then the Jews were surprised and said, How has this man got knowledge of books? He has never been to school." (John 7:15 BBE), "And here he is talking openly and they say nothing to him! Is it possible that the rulers have knowledge that this is truly the Christ?" (John 7:26 BBE) , "..No man ever said things like this man. (John 7:46 BBE)
.
I pray you come away seeing the Christ and trust him with what ever is ailing you.
.

It's Worth It...

I was going through a pile of "do later" things today and came across an e-mail I printed last year. While I recieved this a while back, today I needed to hear it, I thought you might enjoy it as well. Forgive the rambling after the story...
.
A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200 he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 bill to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple up the $20 bill. He then asked, "who still wants it?" Still hands went up all across the room.
.
Well he replied, "what if I do this?", he dropped the $20 bill on the ground and started to grind it into to the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Again, hands went up all over the room.
.
"My friends, we have all learned a valuable lesson". "No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value, it was still worth $20". "Many times in our lives we are dropped, crumpled and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way". "We feel as though we are worthless". "But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value". "Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still important to those who love you, never forget that".
.
As I sat and read this, I imagined many who have called or written me, many who I've cried to and with, and one common denominator became appearant. ALLOF US HAVE TIMES WHEN LIFE REALLY BEATS US UP AND WE WONDER ARE WE WORTH IT. The answer is YES!
.
But don't misunderstand, we are valuable because of WHO made us and WHO loved us enough to give us better options that what life hands us.
.
WHO? You may ask. The I AM. He made us in His image (Genesis 1:26). He desires to have fellowship with Him (I John 1:3). His heart was broken we stepped away from His fellowship (Matthew 23:37).
.
But His love was so great that he made a way for us to connect back to him. But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us. (Romans 5:8 BBE). He didn't wait for us, he took the initiative.
.
Let me ask you, feeling unloved?
.
Humans are fun to love, but they can and will let you down.
.
Take a moment and look to the Savior, if for the first time, just tell him you realize your not all you should be (Romans 3:23, 6:23) and that you want forgiveness and life eternal (Romans 10:13, I John 5:13).
.
If you've already trusted Him, remember his promise... ...For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5b NKJV).
.
Remember He's not going to let you carry this alone... Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. (Matthew 11:29-30 NKJV)
.
I needed to remind myself today, how about you?

For Such A Time As This...

"For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
Esther 4:14
.
His heart beats unlike any other time. His eyes fight back the emotion which desires to burst out. He has dreamed for years, maybe even a lifetime of this. Tonight, with the help of others, he has realized his boyhood fantasy...
.
He is a Superbowl Champion!
.
Who you may say? Name him, from the little known... Freddy Keiaho, Dede Dorsey, Ryan LaCasse to the names that filled the sports commentators lips... Peyton Manning, Dominic Rhodes, Adam Vinatieri... ALL OF THEM GET A SUPERBOWL XLI RING.
.
What young boy or girl doesn't dream of a big day, if it's not sports it's piano. If it's not piano, it's math. If it's not math... well you get the picture. All of us train, study, work, practice and strive to meet the goals that we believe will fulfil our lives. What's unfortunate is that sometimes no matter how much we train or how much we succeed, the end is empty... UNLESS...
.
Unless you understand that the trophy you hold holds little appeal compared to the Lord you serve. Don't diminish the accomplishments of the Indianapolis Colts, they played as a team and they won as a team, just listen to the interviews and you'll hear them, one voice, one team, one great victory for all. Like the Musketeers of old.. ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL...
.
All the dust has settled, or should I say the rain has fallen. When all was said and done, guess what, no body took the podium and said "I did it..." Instead they said it was all of them and the hard work they did together that brought them to this time. And boy, did they use this time well. Jim Ursay, great job keeping your focus... "All The Glory Goes To God". Coach Dungy, you could not have spoken better "I Think The Lord Really Prepared Us". Prepared us for what? To show that Christians can go through the difficult (Death of Coach Dungy's son, team sickness and injuries) and come out the other side knowing the winning is second to winning eternally.
.
This instance reminds me of the story most remember from the Old Testament. Change the players, it's not the the King, it's a world championship. It's not persecution of a particular ethnic group, it's the hope of silence from a changed group. Try to make it about black coaches and the coaches remind you it's about the teams and their character. What character you may ask...
.
Click here to read and listen to the character of these two coaches...
.
.
Don't forget to listen to the video clips on these sites
.
These men, despite all the hoopla of the game, decided they would show the world how men who follow Christ act under pressure... Are they perfect? No, but they don't use their imperfection for an excuse, instead they use it to inspire them to be closer the one who can keep cleaning out the imperfections, through His blood, and because of that...
.
I believe these men were born...
.
For Such A Time As This !

2007 SUPERBOWL CHAMPS!!!

Way To Go Colts...

Way To Go Coach Dungy...
